Evandro Goncalves, Brazil - "This was a tricky game for us since we did not have much information about the Cubans as they do not compete in the World Tour. We figured their game out during the match and had to make some adjustments. We had very good spirits, my serve was consistent and Andre helped a lot with some blocks. We're glad we won our first two matches and advanced to the next round".
Andre Loyola, Brazil - "It was a tough game. We did not know much about them but we prepared for a physical game, because that's what you can expect from Cuban teams. Evandro's serve was very good and that was the difference on the first set. Our blocking and defense also worked well. On the second set, it was close until the end, when we had a block and they made a mistake to close the match".
Karell Piña, Cuba - "We knew it would be hard as Brazil is a very good team. We really wanted to win the match but unfortunately it did not happen. We knew we were in a very tough pool in the World Championships. But it is not over yet. We still have our last game and hopefully we can win it and advance to the second round".
