It was the first FIVB World Tour meeting between the two teams.
Brazil wins Pool H with a 3-0 record and the United States finishes in 2nd place at 2-1. Also in Pool H, Austria's Robin Seidl/Tobias Winter finished in 3rd place with a 1-2 record and Jamaine Naidoo/Leo Williams of South Africa finished in 4th at 0-3.
Both Brazil and United States have advanced to the knockout phase and will play Thursday, 3 August.
