You get such a diverse crowd from all over the world. That’s what volleyball is all about. Growing the game and diversification of the sport all over the world. It’s amazing to see Iran have such a huge fan base here and put up so much support. And they played great too, so there’s no reason for them to hang their heads, they had a great tournament.”
Aaron Nusbaum, Canada – “The crowd helped them, it got them a few more points. We just stayed with them and they went up a few then we came back and stayed calm the whole time. We got to an 18-17 side switch at the end. Ryan got a big block and then they made a hitting error. Then I said ‘go hit the ball’ and he went up and just crushed it. Glad to get that one over with. The first few matches we’re just working on getting better. We are ready for the challenge; it only gets tougher from here.”
