Canadians out-last Austrians

Sam Schachter, Canada – “It was electric. You have to get used to the sounds and the conditions, but it energized us too. It’s tough to play against the home crowd, especially that size. Austrian fans know all the cheers and get into it.”

Sam Pedlow, Canada – “It’s fun to be the villain. The crowd was dense with a lot of colors, so we had to focus on passing. If you focus on yourself, the rest will take care of itself.”

Martin Ermacora, Austria – “It was emotional to play in front of so many fans. We were able to stabilize our sideout. We fought hard. We will be good in our next match if we play at this level.”

Moritz Pristauz, Austria – “Never expected a  crowd of this size. The last two days, it wasn’t packet yet at 12, but now there weren’t any empty seats. It’s fun to play out there and get the crowd energized.”
