It was the first FIVB World Tour meeting between the two teams.
Cuba wins Pool A with a 3-0 record and Brazil finishes in 2nd place at 2-1. Also in Pool A, Austria's Christoph Dressler/Thomas Kunert finished in 3rd place with a 1-2 record and Marlon Phillip/Daneil Williams of Trinidad and Tobago finished 4th at 0-3.
Both Brazil and Cuba have advanced to the knockout phase and will play Thursday, 3 August.
