Julia Grossner, Germany – “Today was waiting to see the groups and we tried to hold our concentration level high. We played with good focus and we are happy with the result. It was a bit difficult because you have a little bit of hope you don’t have to play a Lucky Loser game but we just thought we have to play and we were not surprised. At the end of the match we were a bit nervous and not so concentrated to make a clear point. A team like Paraguay can be close to us and it’s no surprise.”
Erika Bobadilla, Paraguay – “We were kind of nervous. We knew every team that we were going to play was good and had tough games and we had to be prepared. We were a bit stressed because we didn’t know until the last hour. We started playing better in the second set. I guess we were more calm, it was like we had nothing to lose. We just had to knock off all the tension and stress. I am absolutely amazed to have played here. It was a good tournament for us because we were playing good teams and I am completely excited to still be here.”
