It was the first FIVB World Tour meeting between the two teams.
Latvia finishes Pool E in 3rd place with a 1-2 record and Mozambique finishes in 4th at 0-3. Brazil's Alison Cerutti/Bruno Oscar Schmidt won the pool with a 3-0 record and Esteban Grimalt/Marco Grimalt of Chile finished 2nd at 2-1.
Latvia will have to wait to see if it advances directly into the knockout phase or plays in a "lucky" loser later today to advance. Mozambique has been eliminated and finishes 37th.
