Talita Antunes, Brazil – “Almost all our games against them we go three sets, but today we won in two so I think it was better today. The first step we did, but there is more, it is a long tournament. I’m happy that we won our pool. We played better match by match, I think that is most important. It’s hot, and I like that, but I know that it’s not easy. When it’s so hot it’s easy to lose your mind and you get tired so fast. When its windy you have to change your game, if you try to do the same that won’t work. For Brazilians, this weather is normal for us, we play in this almost all the time. We played better today than we did yesterday and we played better yesterday than day before. So I hope that tomorrow we can play even better.”
Isabel Schneider, Germany – “Playing against Larissa and Talita was fun although we lost. We can take a lot of good things from it through, we had a really stable sideout. We will play game by game, now our focus is on the lucky loser game and hopefully we can make it through to the bracket.”
Victoria Bieneck, Germany – “They are for sure one of the best teams in the world. You really have to play two sets on a very high level to beat them. They played really well today. We were close, we had some chances. The wind actually made it a bit better and we didn’t have any problems. We’ll take the sun over the rain.”
