Sara Hughes, USA – We wanted to focus all on our side in that game, especially now with our coach (Jose Loiola) we’ve really been working on individualized stuff. In that game we wanted to stay strong, stay true, stay aggressive. (On upcoming match vs. Brazil to decide Pool I winner) We’ve never played them before. Obviously we’ve watched them a couple of times, we’ve seen them on tour. We’re going to watch some film but we’re going to focus on our side and that’s just being aggressive on every point and playing each match like it’s a final.
Kelly Claes, USA – We try not to worry about what’s going on on the other side, just play our game. I feel like you maybe get in a bad habit maybe with a shorter team of like setting too tight or setting too off but I feel like we played pretty smooth and kept it consistent.
