The 31-year Prudel is tutoring 23-year old Kujawiak as the new Polish pair secured a spot in the 2017 FIVB World Championships via the European continental qualifying process. Prudel played the previous nine seasons on the FIVB World Tour with Grzegorz Fijalek. During their partnership, Prudel and Fijalek placed fifth, 17th and 17th in the last three world championships. Prudel and Fijalek, who competed in 86 FIVB World Tour events with a gold medal, 10 podium placements and 16 “final four” finishes, placed fifth and 17th in their two Olympic appearances. Kujawiak, who will be competing in his first world championship, teamed with Fijalek’s new partner Michal Bryl to win FIVB youth world titles in 2012 (under 19) and 2014 (under 21).
