The reigning Olympic and FIVB world champions, Alison and Bruno will be seeking to become the first men’s team to win back-to-back world titles. Alison has participated in the last four world championships, including a second in 2009 with Harley Marques at Stavanger, and a first (2011 Rome) and fourth (2013 Stare Jablonki) with Emanuel Rego. Prior to the 2015 title, Bruno had placed 17th, ninth and fifth in his first three world championships with three different partners. Two-time SWATCH FIVB World Tour Finals winners, Alison and Bruno began their partnership in 2014. Starting with their gold medal finish at the 2015 FIVB World Championships, Alison and Bruno topped an international podium in five of their next six events. Highlighting Alison and Bruno’s partnership was the gold medal win at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games where the Brazilians defeated Daniele Lupo and Paolo Nicolai of Italy for the crown.
