In Pool K, China finishes in 3rd place at 1-2 and Australia finishes 4th at 0-3. Also in Pool K, Lauren Fendrick/April Ross of United States finished 3-0 and Australia's Louise Bawden/Taliqua Clancy finished 2-1.
China will have to wait to see if it advances directly into the knockout phase or plays in a "lucky" loser match on Tuesday, 1 August to advance. Laird/Ngauamo has been eliminated and finished 37th.
