Robert Meeuwsen, The Netherlands - "I'm really happy by the way we played. There was a temperature meter in the court marking 53 degrees and we knew that's what we had to prepare for. I said to Alex that we had to make sure that our side looked 10 degrees colder than the other side and I think we did that pretty well".
Alexander Brouwer, The Netherlands - "We know that after pool play we start it all over again. In single elimination we need to fight 100% on each match. We had this experience in the World Championships in 2015 and we are prepared".
Michal Bryl, Poland - "Despite the heat, the weather was not a factor as it was windy during the match. Our side out was got good and it's hard to play against such a big blocker as Robert like this. We should have served more aggressively".
Grzegorz Fijalek, Poland - "We made some serve mistakes and our side out was not as consistent as we expected. But we have to keep our heads up, we are second on the pool and we can be happy about it. Now we need to prepare for the elimination round".
