In Pool D, the Netherlands finished in 3rd place with a 1-2 record and Cuba finished in 4th place at 0-3. Also in Pool D, Brazil's Evandro Goncalves/Andre Loyola is 2-0 and Lombardo Ontiveros/Juan Virgen of Mexico is 1-1.
Netherlands will have to wait to see if it advances directly into the knockout phase or plays in a "lucky" loser later today to advance. Cuba has been eliminated and finished 37th.
