Paraguay finishes Pool F in 3rd place with a 1-2 record and Costa Rica finishes in 4th at 0-3. Also in Pool F, Barbora Hermannova/Marketa Slukova of Czech Republic finished at 3-0 and Finland's Taru Lahti/Riikka Lehtonen finished in 2nd place at 2-1.
Paraguay will have to wait to see if it advances directly into the knockout phase or plays in a "lucky" loser match on Tuesday, 1 August to advance. Costa Rica has been eliminated and finished 37th.
