Poland avenged a 2-1 loss to the Americans at the FIVB Porec Major Series in June to even the head-to-head series to 1-1 in FIVB World Tour events.
Poland wins Pool G with a 3-0 record and the United States finishes 2nd at 2-1. Also in Pool G, Argentina's Julian Azaad/Nicolas Capogrosso finished in 3rd place at 1-2 and Roger Battilana/Gregorio Godoy of Paraguay finished 4th with an 0-3 record.
Both Poland and the United States have advanced to the knockout phase and will play Thursday, 3 August.
