In Pool A, the United States finished with a 2-1 record and Austria finished in 4th place at 0-3. Also in Pool A, Brazil's Talita Antunes/Larissa Franca is 2-0 and Victoria Bieneck/Isabel Schneider of Germany is 1-1. The top three positions will be determined after the final match in the pool.
United States will have to wait to see if it advances directly into the knockout phase or plays in a "lucky" loser later today to advance. Austria has been eliminated and finished 37th.
