Playing their first season together on the FIVB World Tour, Ross and Sweat qualified for the 2017 FIVB World Championships via their international ranking.  “Summer Seat” placed fourth and second in their first two events together at stops in the United States and Russia, respectively.  Sweat will be competing in her third-straight world championships with a fifth in the 2015 event with Lauren Fendrick.  Both Ross and Sweat placed 17th at the 2013 worlds in Poland with Emily Day and Jennifer Fopma, respectively.  Sweat and Fendrick qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games where the pair placed 19th.  Ross was the dominant player in the 2010 FIVB youth world championships as she won 14-straight matches with two different partners in topping the podium at the under-19 (Jane Croson) and under-21 (Tara Roenicke) events in Portugal and Turkey, respectively.  Ross played in her first FIVB World Tour event in 2011 and became a full-time competitor on the international circuit in 2013.  She and Emily Day placed second together at a 2013 FIVB World Tour event in Thailand.  Sweat played in her first FIVB event in 2009 and became a regular in 2013 when she collected her first World Tour medal with Fopma in Berlin.
