A new team this season on the FIVB World Tour, Laird and Ngauamo qualified for the 2017 FIVB World Championships via the Asian continental process. Both players have previous world championship experience playing with Mariafe Artacho. Ngauamo and Artacho placed 37th in the 2013 worlds in Poland. Laird and Artacho were 17th at the 2015 worlds in The Netherlands after winning the FIVB’s under-23 world championships in 2014 and before finishing 19th at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
