After splitting with Agatha Bednarczuk after the pairs’ silver medal finish together at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Barbara teamed with Fernanda to start the 2017 FIVB World Tour campaign with the team already capturing one gold medal (Xiamen, China). In netting a 2017 FIVB World Championship bertha via their international ranking, Barbara will be seeking her third-straight medal in the prestigious event with Fernanda in pursuit of her second. After placing third with Liliane Maestrini at the 2013 worlds in Poland, Barbara and Agatha defeated Fernanda and Taiana Lima for the 2015 gold medal in the All-Brazilian title match in The Hague. Competing in FIVB youth world championships five-straight seasons (2003-2007), Barbara captured two golds and three silvers in six appearances. Barbara made her World Tour debut in 2006 and became a full-time participant in 2012. After playing professionally indoor, Fernanda started playing on the FIVB World Tour as a 28-year old in 2013.
