Qualifying for the 2017 FIVB World Championships via the South American continental process, Gallay and Zonta are back playing together for the first-time since October 2013.  The 2017 FIVB World Championships will be Zonta’s first appearance in the event while Gallay placed 37th in the 2015 competition in The Netherlands with Georgina Klug.  Prior to the 2017 season, Gallay and Zonta had played in five FIVB World Tour events with their best placement being a 17th in 2013.  Gallay and Zonta placed 19th in the London 2012 Olympic Games with a ninth at the Mexico 2011 PanAm Games.  Gallay and Klug topped the podium together at the Toronto 2015 PanAm Games and placed 19th in the Rio 2016 Olympics.
